Vision therapy is a doctor supervised program designed to improve the function of the visual system. Vision therapy allows patients the opportunity for new visual experiences through the use of lenses, prisms, filters, and 3-D activities, and a series of exercises. Vision therapy is individualized to the unique needs of each patient. 

As 80% of learning is visual, ensuring an optimally efficient visual system is vitally important to our children's learning.

Dr. Hutchens has a specific interest in the area of Pediatric Optometry.  Her office is equipped with the necessary equipment and tools to properly assess the health and effectiveness of a child's visual system.

It is also recommended that children have their eyes examined annually, ensuring healthy visual development.

• Binocular Vision/Eye Teaming Screening
• Ocular Health Assessment, including checking for systemic diseases that have ocular manifestations
